A few years ago, Shayne Sweeney and his wife Sarah, bought a house in the foothills city of Lincoln. They figured he could fly his plane to his job in the Bay Area, thereby shaving six minutes off a gnarly commute. Only one problem: The house was a new build with no character. So the young couple turned to local designer Todd Peddicord to help them infuse their new home with style and personality—theirs.

After designer Todd Peddicord reimagined this young California couple’s new home, they craved a backyard that could match the quality of their interiors. “The yard was nicely landscaped, but there was nothing to it,” Peddicord remembers. “I approached it the same way I do with an interior. His work has appeared in design magazines, home tours, and even national home shows. The Interior Designer has now conceived two more projects in Northern California. The first one regards a Foyer & Billiards Room whereas the second one is about a Master Bath Remodel. Both projects’ spaces are characterised by its transitional nature and the use of neutral colours.
